How does data flow into Creative Insights?

This document will give a brief overview on how Creative Insights data is populated and how to troubleshoot metrics if they don’t match the respective platform data.

If you want to implement a Cross Channel datasource, you can view this doc.

Creative Performance brief

The Creative Insights tool is powered by the creative_performance datasource present in the {client}_core schema. This datasource is a one-stop shop for creative-level dimensions and metrics across the four platforms currently supported by Creative Insights:

  1. Meta

  2. Campaign Manager 360

  3. Snpachat

  4. TikTok

Troubleshooting Creative Insights with Creative Performance

As an example, let’s say that we find a Madewell Revenue mismatch issue between the Creative Insights tool and the Meta platform UI for a particular ad and date range. We can troubleshoot this mismatch by querying the creative_performance datasource using Alli Data Explorer.

  • If the Revenue from the Meta UI and the purchase_conversions_value from the creative_performance model do not match, then it is most likely an issue with the creative_performance datasource. Submit a support ticket here and select Data Library under the Feature dropdown.
