Tutorial: Getting Started With Workflows

By the end of this tutorial, you’ll be able to:

  • Find & understand the purpose of Workflows, Templates, and Credentials in the side navigation

  • Explore templates and use cases

  • Add and apply credentials

  • Build a basic workflow with one task

  • Set a schedule for automated runs

Finding & Understanding the Side Navigation

From the left-hand side navigation, select Actions and then

  1. Workflows

Workflows are a series of connected tasks that run in a specific order to complete a process—like pulling data, transforming it, and sending it somewhere else.

A workflow can include multiple tasks working together, or be as simple as a single task running on its own.

They help you automate repetitive work and keep everything organized in one place.

  1. Templates

Templates are pre-built tasks that help you connect to platforms, pull or push data, and automate common actions—no coding required.

On the Templates page, you can:

  • Browse the full library of platform integrations

  • Use templates in your workflows

  • Access custom templates built specifically for your client

  1. Credentials

Credentials let you securely store login details, API keys, and other sensitive information that workflows need to connect to different platforms.

They’re saved once and then reused across tasks, so your team doesn’t have to enter them every time.

How To Explore Templates

  1. From the left-hand side navigation, select Actions and then Templates

  2. Use the search bar or scroll to quickly find the template you would like to use.

  3. You can click Use in Workflow to kick off creating a brand new workflow

  1. Or you can navigate to Workflows in the side navigation and click New Workflow

    1. You can use the instructions in the How to Create a Workflow section below to continue

How To Create A Credential

First, remember to check your clients available credentials for that partner - your team may have already created a credential you could use in your workflow, so we recommend reviewing Active credentials before creating your own.

  1. From the left-hand side navigation, select Actions and then Credentials

  2. Use the search bar to find the platform you want to create a credential for and select it.

  3. Give your credential group a clear, descriptive name you’ll recognize later - you won’t be able to change this moving forward, so make it count!

  4. Enter the required details

  5. Click “Test Credentials” to check if everything works

  6. Once your credentials have been successfully tested, you’ll be able to click "Save Credential Group" to store them for future use in your workflows. This ensures your credentials are securely saved and ready whenever you need them.
