Email

There is a new Email datasource that allows for the downloading of authorized links within the email body in addition to attachments.

Note: Existing Email datasources will continue to function as-is, and all new Email datasources will follow the new structure.

Learn more about configuring an Email datasource here.

DV360

The DV360 datasource now supports a Reach report type, allowing you to pull unique reach metrics into Alli.

Meta

Meta data connectors were upgraded to use v22 of their Graph API. Read more about the specific changes below:

More info
  • Meta Sentiment V2

    • We will no longer be able to get comments from effective_instagram_story_id. Facebook directs users to use effective_instagram_media_id, which the Alli Sentiment datasource does already. It appears the same data will come through, just with a different ID.

  • Meta Ads Structure

    • Similar to sentiment, effective_instagram_story_id will no longer be available. Facebook directs users to use effective_instagram_media_id, which is already supported in the datasources and in ADL

    • instagram_actor_id will no longer be available. Facebook directs users to use instagram_user_id instead. This value is being added to the available columns in datasources.

  • IG

    • The following metrics will no longer be available

      • Plays (Reel Plays)

      • Impressions

    • Meta has introduced a views metric that they direct users to. The Instagram connector has supported this views metric for a few months already.

  • All above values will continue to exist in the schema for historical reporting purposes. The deprecated IDs will be replaced by empty strings, and the deprecated metrics will be replaced with 0’s. Please note that these values will not be available from the API for historical dates. This means that a backfill that includes dates that already have data will overwrite that existing data with the aforementioned default values. The structure datasource will overwrite data for ads/creatives that are returned from the API on the next load.

Other Improvements

  • The GA4 is now more memory efficient, increasing reliability as the report size grows.

  • The create_time dimension in Taboola was changed from a date to a string, ensuring all return values are handled.

    • Note: Taboola datasources will need to be dropped and backfilled the next time they are saved with column changes. It is recommended to download a copy of your data before doing so to avoid any backfill limitation issues.

  • Yelp datasources now handle errors more gracefully, giving better visibility into errors coming from the API.

  • SA360 datasources now properly format column IDs for the API that did not match the Alli standards for column names.
