How to Create an Alli Alert
Overview
Alli Custom Alerts allows you to build your own alerts, which are perfectly customized to meet your unique channel, client, and business climate needs.
All it requires is a simple SQL query and a datasource to begin receiving slack messages about the things that matter to you and your account most.
Setup Process
Navigate to Alli and select your client
Select the dropdown menu from the “Data” section on the sidebar
Select “Alerts” from the dropdown menu
Once the webpage is loaded, select “New Alert” on the righthand side
Enter a relevant name for the alert
Choose what source you want your data to pull from:
Option 1: Select from Datasource This is when you want an alert that includes all the values within a datasource | Option 2: Custom SQL This is when you want an alert that filters values from a datasource selectively (e.g. you only want a specific date range) |

Enter the slack channel

Save your app at the upper right (or click "Save and Run" to run if for the first time manually)
If you've selected "Save and Run", check the slack channel you set above for a message. If you run into an issue, or your alert does not send a message, check your email for an error message.
If you need help troubleshooting beyond that, reach out in the #alli-alerts channel for help, and include a link to the app for troubleshooting. You can also kick off General Support or Bug ticket to get the investigative process moving.
Happy Alerting!
