How To: Use Gen Dashboards to Create a Dashboard?

Purpose

Generative Dashboards allow you to build full dashboards in Alli from a simple text prompt. Instead of relying on templates or analysts, you can instantly create campaign or business dashboards in minutes.

Steps

1. Go to Generative Dashboards

   • From the Alli navigation bar, select Dashboards → Generative Dashboards.

2. Enter Your Prompt

   • Type what you want to see in plain English.

   • Example: “Create a campaign performance dashboard showing impressions, clicks, CTR, conversions, and spend by channel over the last 30 days.”

3. Review Column Selections

   • Alli will pull in the most relevant columns from your data.

   • Check the Available Columns panel to confirm the right metrics are selected.

   • You can add or remove columns before generating.

4. Generate Dashboard

   • Click Generate.

   • Alli will build a full dashboard layout with multiple visualizations.

5. Review Your Dashboard

   • Each visualization is auto-generated.

   • Look for charts showing spend, performance, ROAS, etc.

   • Make edits if needed (see How To: Edit a Visualization).

6. Save Your Dashboard

   • Once satisfied, click Save Dashboard.

   • Add a title and description to make it easy for teammates to find later.

Notes & Best Practices

• Be specific in your prompt (include metrics, breakdowns, and time ranges).

• Filters apply to the whole dashboard (not individual charts).

• Only the data table is exportable, not the charts.

• You can always edit or refine visualizations later.
