How-To: Request Asset Renewals

Overview

Asset Renewal is a structured workflow in Alli that helps you turn performance insights into refreshed, high performing creative. It connects performance data to clear creative direction and initiates collaboration with the Creative Team.

Use this when:

  • An asset is fatigued

  • An asset is underperforming against KPI

  • An asset is performing well and worth iterating or scaling

  • You want to proactively improve creative based on data

Why This Is Valuable

Asset Renewal ensures creative decisions are driven by performance data, not assumptions.

It helps you:

  • Connect performance insights directly to creative action

  • Improve asset quality using feature level recommendations

  • Provide structured, strategic direction to Creative

  • Eliminate manual briefing and back and forth

  • Ensure alignment before production begins

Instead of requesting a generic refresh, you are submitting a data backed brief that improves the likelihood of stronger results.

The Asset Renewal Journey

1. Identify Assets for Renewal

Navigate to Creative and review assets in the Ad Feed, Top and Bottom Performers, or Ad Details view.

Look for:

  • Signs of fatigue

  • Low CTR, ROAS, or KPI misalignment

  • Performance trends over time

  • Strong performers worth expanding into new variations

This step is focused on identifying which assets require action.

2. Identify Opportunities to Improve

Review performance insights to determine how the asset can be improved.

For video assets, use the Recommendation Analysis view to:

  • See which features are driving performance

  • Understand what to keep

  • Identify features to add

  • Compare relative performance based on your selected testing metric

Ground your renewal request in data driven insights.

3. Build Your Renewal Cart

Once you have identified the right assets, add them to your cart by clicking Mark for Renewal.

You can:

  • Add multiple assets to your renewal cart

  • Select assets across campaigns or formats

  • Curate the set of creatives you want included in one request

This step prepares your renewal before submitting it.

4. Navigate to the Asset Renewal Page

Click Asset Renewal in the top navigation to review your cart.

On this page you can:

  • See all selected assets

  • Confirm the correct creatives are included

  • Add creative direction and required details

  • Review performance context tied to each asset

  • Share directly with stakeholders for visibility

This is where your renewal request is finalized before submission.

5. Submit and Sync with Creative

Click Request Renewal to generate your brief.

Alli will:

  • Automatically generate a PDF creative brief

  • Include performance context and your notes

  • Email the brief to you and the Creative Team

Important: Submitting a renewal does not automatically trigger production. No creative work begins without further review, approval, and alignment with the Creative Team. This step initiates collaboration and formalizes the request.

The Creative Team will follow up to confirm scope, timelines, and next steps.
