Pathmatics Report Exports

This guide explains how to automatically download and forward Pathmatics (Sensor Tower) reports to an Alli datasource using Gmail and Alli Workflows.

⚙️ Overview

This automation:

• Forwards Pathmatics report emails to a shared Gmail inbox (pmg.pathmatics@gmail.com)

• Logs into that Gmail via Alli to fetch the report

• Downloads and forwards the CSV to an Alli data source

🪜 Setup Steps

1. Set up Forwarding for Pathmatics Emails

1. In your Gmail, go to Settings → See all settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP.

2. Click Add a forwarding address → enter pmg.pathmatics@gmail.com.

3. Log into pmg.pathmatics@gmail.com (using the shared 1Password credentials) and accept the forwarding invitation.

4. Back in your main Gmail, set up a filter so only Pathmatics emails forward:

   1. Filter by: Subject contains “Pathmatics”

   2. Action: Forward to pmg.pathmatics@gmail.com

💡 All users can use this shared automation inbox—no need to store individual email credentials in Alli.

2. Schedule the Pathmatics Report

1. In Pathmatics, open or create your report.

2. Choose Schedule Export → Email Delivery.

3. Give the report a clear Report Name — you’ll enter it as REPORT_NAME in Alli.

4. Save the schedule.

4. Create an Alli Email Datasource

1. In Alli, go to Data Sources → Add → Email Data Source.

2. Configure your dimensions as needed.

3. Copy the Alli data source email address (e.g., 68f7df64df14c700074d8334@data.alliplatform.com).

5. Create an Alli Workflow

1. Go to Actions → Workflows → New Workflow.

2. Click ➕ Add Publisher Connector and select Pathmatics.

3. Fill in the required credentials:

4. Save the connector and workflow.

6. Verify & Test

1. Run the workflow manually once.

2. In the logs, confirm messages like:

   CODE

   Checking for the Pathmatics emailed report...
   Downloading report...
   Cleaning report...
   Sending email from jess.kizer@pmg.com to 68f7df64df14c700074d8334@data.alliplatform.com...
   ✅ Report emailed successfully. Filename: Client-Pathmatics_Report_Test.csv
   

3. Check your Alli datasource to confirm the CSV was received.

Once configured:

• Pathmatics sends scheduled reports to Gmail.

• The Alli workflow script logs into Gmail, downloads, and cleans the CSV.

• The cleaned file is automatically forwarded into Alli’s ingestion pipeline.
